In a remote jungle village of the Philippines, children walk dangerous paths and cross rivers just to reach school. Some teachers sleep outside under tarps or trees because there’s no housing. There’s no electricity. No clean water. And yet—these kids show up. They want to learn.
Why It Matters:
Education increases a child’s chance of escaping poverty by up to 95%. But without basic infrastructure, these kids are being left behind—not because they’re unwilling, but because they’re unsupported.
What We’re Doing:
This October, we’re building a bridge to make school safely accessible… and housing so teachers no longer sleep outside. We’re also bringing clean drinking water and solar-powered lamps—because every child deserves light to read by and safe water to drink.
